Description
Our built environment and the supply chains that serve us contribute to an outsized percentage of carbon emissions. Join the Denver Chapter of IFMA for our 3rd annual Sustainability Soiree, as we explore the Best Practices in Facility Sustainability. Learn from industry leaders involved in managing facilities efficiently and trying to balance the triple bottom line. The following panel will update attendees, networking will continue from 7:00–7:45 p.m., with event cleanup scheduled from 7:45–8:00 p.m.
Panelists:

Omar Galvan of the National Western Center. The National Western Center operates North America’s largest Sewer Heat Recovery system, preventing an estimated 2,600 metric tons of carbon (CO2) per year across the 250-acre campus.

Curtis Heath is the Director of Engineering of the Marriott Westin DIA. The Westin DIA was the 1st LEED Platinum hotel at any major U.S. Airport.

Cameron Bowen is the supervisor of projects, fleet and courier services for Arapahoe Libraries, the inaugural winner of IFMA Denver’s Sustainability Innovation Award.

Noah Kaplan, is the Executive Director of Compost Colorado, processing over 2 million pounds of organic waste each year.
